2024 BILL CROWLEY MEMORIAL AWARD

FOR PHOTOGRAPHY

The Field Botanists of Ontario (FBO) is a non-profit organization founded in 1984 to promote the appreciation and study of Ontario’s wild plants. In appreciation of the contributions of FBO’s late president Bill Crowley, the FBO has established the Bill Crowley Memorial Award to recognize outstanding photographs of Ontario’s wild flora.

The winner of the 2024 Bill Crowley Memorial Award will be presented with a framed print of their winning photograph at the FBO’s annual general meeting in September and will have their photograph published in the Ontario Plant Press, FBO’s quarterly newsletter. One or more runner up photographs may also be featured in the Ontario Plant Press.

ELIGIBILITY

The applicant must be a member of the Field Botanists of Ontario.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Applicants may submit only one photograph per year.

Photographs shall be taken in Ontario and accompanied by a brief description of the photograph including the date taken and general location.

Submissions will also include the applicant's name and contact information (mailing address, email and/or phone number).

Applicants are to submit their photograph to awards.fbo@gmail.com no later than July 31st, 2024. Attachments must not exceed 10 MB in size.

Submissions will be judged by the FBO’s board of directors. The winner and runners up will be notified in late August or early September. For more information, visit our webpage at www.fieldbotanistsofontario.com.
